CMFA History
The Cornwall Minor Football Association (CMFA) began seven years ago with participation in the Upper New York State League under the "Cornwall Mustangs" logo. In the fall of 2006, the CMFA joined the National Capital Amateur Football Association -NCAFA- as the Cornwall Wildcats with four teams. Our 2010 spring house league was a huge success, with over 300+ players and 42 cheerleaders competing. In our sixth spring season we are expecting even more growth with Glengarry County, United Counties Football and the Russell Minor Football Association all adding new teams. Our spring league will see almost 800 football players competing in Eastern Ontario from ages 7-19. In 2011, our Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) program (16-19 year olds) will compete in their second season.
Mission
Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the young people of Cornwall and area in which to learn the fundamentals of football. We encourage team work, commitment and volunteerism. All of which we believe are necessary to the continuing development of our players.
